My Card Catalog

I love books of many kinds. Any book that let's you excape to a new world are my preference.
SPOILER ALERT!
A Ghoul's Guide to Love and Murder - Victoria Laurie

The biggest evolution of the entire Ghoul series happens in this final book. Gilly grows a spine! I never thought the day would come that he stand up and fight instead of running and screaming. The return of former characters was a great suprise.

The biggest issue I had is the repetitiveness of the case information. The main characters decribe the same issues to each other and secondary characters on multipe times. There were other instinces as well.

Overall it was a good conclusion to a fun series.

SPOILER ALERT!
A Reluctant Assassin - JC Marrows

Maybe I've played too much Assassin's Creed, but when I hear the word assassin I think stealth, fighting for your cause, and of of course  a few fights here and there. What it doesn't bring to mind is a starie eyed girl. I like a romance as much as any woman, but I was expecting a lot more action with a little romance throughout. Which is the exact opposite of this book. In addition there was very little dialog between the characters. It seemed like 90% of the story was a cross of inner dialog and being told about the characters interactions.
